E. coli RNA pyrophosphohydrolase, RppH

Catalog #: EG-207
Product Description
Description E coli RNA 5´ Pyrophosphohydrolase (RppH, also known as NudH/YgdP) removes pyrophosphate from the 5´ end of triphosphorylated RNA to leave a 5´ monophosphate RNA. This enzyme can split Ap5A to ADP and ATP.
Applications
  • RNA stability studies
  • Removing a guanine cap from the 5′ end of an RNA
Source Purified from a recombinant E. coli strain carrying the E coli RppH gene
Components
  • E coli RNA 5´ Pyrophosphohydrolase, 5,000 U/ml in storage buffer: 20 mM Tris-HCl, 200 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, 50% Glycerol, 0.01% Triton® X-100, pH 7.5 @ 25°C
  • 10X Reaction Buffer: 500 mM NaCl, 100 mM Tris-HCl, 100 mM MgCl2, 10 mM DTT, pH 7.9 @ 25°C
Unit Definition One unit is the amount of enzyme that converts 1 µg 300 mer RNA transcript into a XRN-1 digestible RNA in 30 minutes at 37°C.
Quality Control
  • The absence of endonuclease, exonuclease, phosphatases, and RNase activities is confirmed by appropriate quality tests.
Storage -20°C.
