Cre recombinase is a 38 kDa Type I topoisomerase from bacteriophage P1 that catalyzes site-specific recombination between loxP sites (34 bp sequences consisting of two 13 bp inverted repeats flanking an 8 bp spacer). The enzyme requires no energy cofactors and achieves rapid recombination equilibrium.

Key features of our recombinant TAT-Cre:

• Purified from E. coli with N-terminal 6×His tag, TAT peptide (GRKKRRQRRRPPAGTSVSL), and NLS sequence (PKKKRKV)
• Demonstrated 80-100% recombination efficiency in HEK293T reporter cells at 1 μM concentration
• Superior transduction efficiency compared to other Cre variants (HNC, TCH6, HC, HNCM, CH)
• 60-90% cell transduction within 1-2 hours (enhanced by 100 μM chloroquine)
