HiFi ÄQStart^TM Taq Mastermix

2X HiFi ÄQStart^TM Taq Mastermix is formulated for faster and easier preparation of PCR reactions, requiring only the addition of primers, templates and water. A reduction in the number of pipetting steps also ensures more reproducible PCR.

HiFi ÄQStart^TM Taq DNA polymerase contains purified monoclonal antibodies that bind to the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94°C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly.

HiFi ÄQStart^TM Taq DNA polymerase contains a small amount of ultra high fidelity thermal stable DNA polymerase with 3’→5’ exonuclease activity. This leads to up to 6-fold higher fidelity PCR amplification than Taq DNA polymerase alone and enables amplification of DNA fragments up to 20-kb.
