Description T4 DNA Polymerase, a recombinant enzyme from bacteriophage T4 expressed in Escherichia coli, catalyzes 5’ to 3’ DNA synthesis with robust 3’ to 5’ exonuclease activity but lacks 5’ to 3’ exonuclease and strand displacement activities, ideal for DNA blunting and labeling applications.

  • Blunting of DNA ends by fill-in of 5’ overhangs or removal of 3’ overhangs
  • Blunting of PCR products with 3’-dA overhangs
  • Ligation-independent cloning of PCR products via single-strand deletion subcloning
